Plus Taxations was founded in 2019 and operates for clients who need a better understanding of the value of their real estate. They appraise for investors, individuals, institutional parties and government/housing associations. They have now been in business for almost three years and are growing fast. Plus Taxaties is based in Tauro Koninginnegracht, The Hague and will move to its branch on Kennedylaan in The Hague in two months’ time. Pim Slegtenhorst, Manager Operations at Plus Taxaties, talks about their unique concept and how their office space at Tauro has grown along with the growth of their business.
Unique concept
Plus Taxaties was born from a collaboration between an innovative club of real estate consultants from Amsterdam (Pin Oak) and a well-established valuation firm from The Hague. As Operations Manager, Pim Slegtenhorst has been involved with Plus Taxations since the beginning. ‘I am ultimately responsible for the organisation. This ranges from operational in results to personnel and managing the teams.’
Plus Taxations’ clients need more insight into property values. “Whether it is about optimal use of commercial properties or things like making (social) property more sustainable. We combine our customers’ knowledge of their properties with our market knowledge and prepare a valuation report. With this, we create valuable insight into the potential and challenges of our client’s property,” says Pim.
Plus taxations is a professional but approachable company. Together with the client, they go through all the steps of the valuation process so that the client knows exactly what they can expect from Plus Taxaties. Pim:”In three years, Plus Taxations has grown into a nationwide organisation with a strong focus on innovation and a data-driven design of our processes. We are proud of that.”
The growth of Plus Taxations
The Plus Taxations team is growing fast. Whereas they started in 2022 with a team of six, they ended the year with as many as 15. That is why they are even opening a new branch in early 2023. Pim: “We are proud of where we are as an organisation. At the beginning, the strong focus was on valuing exotics from the market. By now, we are a full-service valuation agency with professionals who work day in and day out for our clients and want to know the ins and outs of the business. Plus Appraisals‘ growth ambition is not about today’s success, but about the organisation in five years’ time. Hence also the opening of our new branch in Nijmegen.”
There is no such thing as a ‘standard’ working day at Plus Valuations. That keeps them on their toes and provides challenges. “In my position as operations manager, I can be found at one of our offices in Amsterdam, The Hague or Nijmegen, where I dedicate myself daily to the organisation of tomorrow. From operational coordination with colleagues, to personnel management and working on the next growth phase of Plus Taxations,” says Pim.
Plus Taxations at Tauro in The Hague
Plus Taxaties has now been a tenant at Tauro on the Koninginnegracht in The Hague for more than a year and will soon move to Tauro on Kennedylaan in The Hague. Here, they will rent one of the two wings on the top floor, a space of almost 300 square metres.
They are enthusiastic about their office space at Tauro. Pim: “Tauro fits in well with the growth phase Plus Taxaties is in. So we are moving for the third time within Tauro within a year. And so Tauro grows along with Plus Taxaties, for the coming years we are looking forward to our new base of operations.”
Plus Taxations likes the quality of the facilities and the flexibility within Tauro, which is what makes it suitable for them. Pim: “At our new location we are fairly self-sufficient and yet we can rely on the service Tauro stands for. In addition, Tauro is situated in a fine location for Plus Valuations.
